What is Data Loss?

Data loss is the intentional or unintentional destruction or disclosure of information, and occurs when people fail to protect the confidentiality, integrity or availability of data.

This data is typically considered valuable or sensitive and often contains the personal information of customers, the intellectual property of organisations, and commercially sensitive information.

It's important that you're able to identify valuable and sensitive information, understanding how data loss can occur, and know how to protect it.

Let's play a game and learn what to look out for!
